. My experiments have always been great fun to do as it is always an enjoyment to them. Experiments are what makes Science one of my favorite subjects and makes Science become fun. Out of all the experiments that I have done, my favorite is still the Iodine-Starch test that was done in Term 3. It was a rather long and complicated experiment and that is why it is my favorite experiment.
Science Ace has always been one of my choices for Ace and I have done in Term 1,2 and 3. For term 2 i did a blog about the Elements. I chose the element steel and this is my blog:Science Ace Work on Steel
I have gone on many excursions. Although I could not attend two excursions due to one being cancelled and the other ending up in me missing the bus to go to the Science center, I did attend one science excursion to the Singapore Science Center, Ispace. In this excursion we went to the Ispace exhibition. It was a very intriguing experience for me as it was my first time going for this exhibition.The exhibition was about how the future world would be about. It gives us a glimpse of how advance the Info-com technology would be in the years to come. Although it might seem more about computing rather than science, the special thing about this exhibition is that the future of Info-com is seen in a different prospective which is through Science-Fiction.One very special exhibit to me was the tree made of wires. It was an extremely breathtaking sight as the artificial tree was made of wires.
Another excursion that I have been to is the Wildlife Buddies Programme. This programme is the programme that I have chosen for my Term 3 sabbaticals. I feel that this can also be counted as an excursion as during this sabbaticals I went to the zoo to learn more about wildlife. I feel that the main point of this sabbaticals was to teach us about the conservation message. The conservation message is so important in my opinion as it is the only thing that can possibly save millions of species of animals that have been living on this earth for thousands of years from suddenly disappearing forever.
Reflections: I feel that excursions, experiments and aces has always been what make Science stands out from the other subjects. It makes Science so interesting and so fun even though throughout the whole process we do not realize that actually we are learning a lot while having fun.
